The Division of Student Affairs is committed to breaking down barriers that prevent students from completing their Rutgers degree. Increasing the availability of need-based scholarships is essential to this effort. These scholarships help us maintain our dedication to ethnic, economic, geographic and religious diversity, and uphold our commitment to transformative education.
In Spring 2017, Vice Chancellor Felicia McGinty launched the Retention Scholarship Initiative with the goal of generating $1 million in new, need-based student aid over the next three years. This initiative will help ensure that promising Rutgers students have the opportunity for academic and future success, regardless of socioeconomic status.
