Session Title: This is a Man’s World, or is it?: The Experiences of Women of Color in Male Dominated Fields

Dr. Andrea Osei serves as a Pharmacist by day and Fashion Designer by night at Osei en Rose. In 2008, Andrea received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University. She has served in a variety of practice settings including serving as a clinical pharmacist in an ambulatory HIV clinic, hospital pharmacy, managed care and retail pharmacy. She currently practices as at Barnabas Health Retail Pharmacy which is a hospital based retail pharmacy setting. Andrea is a self-taught Ghanaian American designer. As a fashion designer, she draws inspiration from her experiences as a first generation American. Her brand, Osei en Rose, harnesses the essence of classic style and delicately channels it into timeless pieces. Andrea is the secretary and co-Founder of Raising H.O.P.E.-Hope Orphans Pursuing Excellence. Raising H.O.P.E. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of orphans, less fortunate children and children with special needs within the African Diaspora. Andrea is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
