Scrapping The Stereotype

Join us for an open conversation and celebration of identity at Scrapping the Stereotype: Asian American Women in Modern Media.

We will be critically exploring social media and film depictions of Asian identities and how they shape our everyday experiences. The event will feature: a presentation and open discussion for sharing personal thoughts and experiences, bubble tea and snacks from Asian bakeries, and a scrapbooking activity where participants can make personalized collages celebrating their unique identities. Materials are provided (journals, instant cameras, mini-printers, and much more), but feel free to bring your own as well!
