Grad-itude
April 10, 2019
Dear Colleagues,
As part of their continued efforts to enhance the graduate student experience, the Office of Graduate Student Life will host the university’s first Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week from Friday, April 12 through Friday, April 19.
A series of free programs and offerings, this week is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for our graduate and professional student staff and their invaluable contributions to the division. Providing everything from professional development to fitness classes, and educational lectures, these events are designed to not only help our graduate students destress, but gives them a chance to connect, socialize, and deepen relationships with faculty, staff, and other university partners.
Most events will take place in the Graduate Student Lounge. Please visit graduatestudentlife.rutgers.edu/events for a full list of program descriptions and to pre-register.
It is important for us to support our graduate and professional students as part of our commitment to creating a culture of care within the division. I encourage you to not only share these events with your graduate staff, but to take the time to express your “Grad-itude” by attending these programs and giving thanks to our graduate community, which plays such a critical role in helping us to fulfill our mission to transform and shape the quality of student life at Rutgers–New Brunswick.
Sincerely,
Sal
