Wishing You a Restful Summer
May 14, 2025
Dear Scarlet Knights,
As final exams come to an end and the academic year draws to a close, I want to congratulate everyone for reaching the end of the academic year On the Banks.
On behalf of the Rutgers–New Brunswick administration, I want to congratulate our graduating students. You’ve reached a milestone that reflects years of dedication, hard work, and growth. You’ll always be Scarlet Knights, and I hope you’ll continue to stay connected with Rutgers in the years ahead.
Students bring a vibrancy to our campus and community, and to our returning students, we look forward to welcoming you back in the fall. And while you may be away from campus for the next few months, we will continue to be here for you. Please know that the various resources within the Division of Student Affairs will be available to you over the summer.
Lastly, as per Chancellor Conway’s recent email, I will be away from Rutgers for the 2025–2026 academic year as part of my ACE Fellowship. While I’m away, Dr. Francesca Maresca will be acting as Interim Vice Chancellor for the Student Experience—ensuring continuity in providing you support and availability for open office hours.
Whether you are preparing for new adventures beyond Rutgers or gearing up for another year of learning and growth, know that you are part of something meaningful. You are—and always will be—a vital part of the Rutgers family.
Wishing you a summer filled with rest, inspiration, and connection.
In Rutgers Pride,
Salvador B. Mena, Ph.D. (he, him, el)
Senior Vice Chancellor for the Student Experience
