Diversity and Inclusion

The Division of Student Affairs works to create an environment of inclusion that respects and affirms the inherent dignity, value, and uniqueness of all individuals, communities, and perspectives. Our practices reflect awareness and understanding of the complexity of identity and the increasing interconnectedness of our world. It is our responsibility to promote and maintain a community of compassion, embracing the rich dimensions of diversity, and facilitating opportunities for understanding and the expression of both individual and shared truths.

Our Goals

  1. Increase awareness on campus about prejudice, stereotyping, power, privilege, oppression, and social identities (race, gender, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, spirituality/religion, ability, etc.) through marketing and educational campaigns.
  2. Create spaces that foster intergroup dialogue on critical and challenging topics that inspire genuine understanding, goodwill, and collaboration.
  3. Develop and promote programs, trainings, workshops, lectures, and events that engage the entire campus community on issues of inclusion.
