Naming Opportunities

Naming a building, space, or program within the Division of Student Affairs is a wonderful way to leave a legacy on our campus and provide support for an important student success initiative at the same time. Funds from a naming gift can be designated towards an existing initiative, establish an endowment to support students and staff, or provide program support, among other opportunities.

Make a difference in the lives of Rutgers students today and for decades to come.

Busch Student Center International Lounge

The most central gathering space for student organizations. With over 10,000 people passing through each day, this prominent area is commonly used by students to study, socialize and convene. In addition, this space is frequently sought after for high-profile student events such as academic presentations, Esports gaming competitions, science poster sessions, Asian American Lunar New Year performances, and even comfort animal symposiums.

Busch Student Center Multi-Purpose Room

This premier location is the largest event space on the Busch Campus. With almost 5,000 square feet of centrally-located, highly-visible conference space, this facility engages the greatest number of internal and external stakeholders at Rutgers. Thousands of people enter these doors annually for gubernatorial pep rallies, career fairs, corporate retreats, theatrical presentations, student formal banquets, and much more. This space is capable of hosting close to 1,000 people at a time and boasts passing foot traffic of over 10,000 people a day.

Busch Student Center Room 174

This space sits close to the top of our priority list because of its potential, especially given its location. It sits directly across from Career Exploration and Success and provides a conference room-style setup which we currently use to host mock interviews, workforce preparation, and training opportunities for our students. Given the opportunity, this space could be updated with the appropriate technology to prepare our students for the ever-growing popularity of video interviews.

Busch Student Center Front Patio

The front patio of the Busch Student Center has served as the primary transportation hub for students moving across our five campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick. With 14 bus routes running on an average of every 3-5 minutes during peak hours, this busy interchange is in need of modernization. Additional seating, extended overhead weather coverage, and signage would all be a part of this timely upgrade.

College Avenue Student Center Room 411

The College Avenue Student Center is the centerpiece of the College Avenue Campus. Hosting about 5,000 visitors a day, this is another highly visible naming opportunity. Room 411 sits directly adjacent to the Cap and Skull room and has the ability to be divided into three spaces when necessary. It hosts over 1,000 events a year and is frequently requested because of its central location within the student center and campus.

Cook Campus Student Center Room 202

This space is considered by many as the “hidden gem” of Rutgers. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows and breathtaking wilderness wrap-around views, this second-floor tree house has been host to hundreds of wedding requests because of its picturesque landscape. Mostly used for university conferences, workshops, training sessions, and meetings, this space has great potential to be differentiated by adding a more elegant banquet feel.

Douglass Student Center Meeting Room A

Meeting Room A has become a favorite meeting space for student groups, especially Greek organizations that meet regularly to conduct their normal business. A convenient size for planning sessions, a host of student organizations appreciate the privacy of this second-floor space and the convenience and proximity to the Douglass student residence halls.

Douglass Student Center First Floor Lounge

This opportunity could be seen as “small but mighty”. This lounge is one of the quintessential quiet open study spaces for students on the Douglass Campus. Due to the location, students will congregate here between classes to study, discuss assignments, wait until their next class begins, etc. While in need of new furniture and cosmetic touches, this space is very important to the student experience at Douglass.

Livingston Student Center Gathering Lounge

One of the newest and grandest spaces this lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows, a baby grand piano, a faux fireplace, and beautiful lounge furniture. As you can imagine, students, faculty, and staff are excited to use this space. This high-profile naming opportunity receives about 11,000 visitors a day and is a central shortcut for people moving through campus. With continued campus enhancements on the horizon, this prominent naming opportunity guarantees heavy exposure.

Livingston Student Center Convenience Store

As our student needs change, we are responding… This multi-use space is configured with a meditation room, a lactation room, lockers for commuter students, walls ready for student art exhibits, and furniture that encourages engagement. Creating a space that connects our commuter and residential student population is a critical priority and has been high on the request list from our students. This 2,700 sq. ft. space will provide much-needed interactive space for a very important population of our students.

Livingston Student Center Courtyard

Located in the rear of the new student center, this 3,000 sq. ft. campus hub is the largest outdoor gathering space on the Livingston Campus. Designed to serve as the crossroads of the campus, this historic location has served as the probate hub for Multicultural Greek Council organizations for years. It has also served as a safe space for embracing diversity in the form of vigils, civil discourse, and cultural understanding.
