To an Exciting and Successful Spring Semester!
January 21, 2026
Dear Students,
I hope you enjoyed a peaceful winter break and are ready to dive into an exciting spring semester. Whether you are new or returning to the Rutgers–New Brunswick community, you’ll find many resources, programs, events, and opportunities to participate in our vibrant campus life.
I would like to call special attention to the Student Affairs Scholarships page, featuring a wide range of scholarships offered by departments within the Division of Student Affairs. These awards vary in requirements and amounts, with qualifications that may include academic merit, financial need, leadership, student involvement, and community service.
Visit https://studentaffairs.rutgers.edu/scholarships to learn more and apply. Many applications close on February 3, 2026, so be sure to review the specific requirements soon. Most awards apply to Spring 2026 term bills. Please bring any questions to Marisa Felice, Scholarship Coordinator, at sascholarships@echo.rutgers.edu.
Our new semester begins with exciting involvement opportunities:
- Spring Welcome Week: Cross-campus events through Saturday, January 31 will help you find connections and community.
- Grad Knights: First Weeks @ RU: Graduate Student Life and the Graduate Student Association host their Spring 2026 Welcome and Open House on Tuesday, January 27.
- Winter Career and Internship Mega Fair: Hosted by Career Exploration and Success, the fair takes place February 4 through 5 at Jersey Mike's Arena.
You’ll find clubs, events, programs, and many more engagement opportunities at getinvolved.rutgers.edu.
Finally, if at any time you experience challenges and need assistance, the Offices of the Dean of Students stand ready to help. Please do not hesitate to contact them at 848-932-2300 or deanofstudents@echo.rutgers.edu.
Here’s to an exciting, rewarding, and successful Spring. I look forward to sharing it with you.
Sincerely,
Francesca M. Maresca, Ph.D., CHES® (she, her, hers)
