Welcome to the Spring Semester and Scholarship Opportunities
January 27, 2025
Dear Scarlet Knights,
I hope you had a restful winter break and are excited for the spring semester. Whether you’re a first-time Scarlet Knight or are returning to the banks, I encourage you to take advantage of the many resources, programs, and events at Rutgers–New Brunswick.
A key resource to explore is the Student Affairs Scholarships page. It features scholarships offered by various departments within the Division of Student Affairs, with diverse requirements and reward amounts. Qualifications range from demonstrated merit and financial need to leadership, student involvement, and community service, among others.
Visit studentaffairs.rutgers.edu/scholarships to learn more and apply. Many applications close on February 3, 2025, so review the specific requirements for each scholarship soon. Most awards are applied to the spring 2025 term bills. For questions, contact Marisa Felice, Scholarship Coordinator: sascholarships@echo.rutgers.edu.

This semester opens up with a number of opportunities to connect and engage:

If you, as a new or returning student, are experiencing any challenges that you might need assistance with, the Offices of the Dean of Students stand ready to help. Please do not hesitate to contact them at 848-932-2300 or deanofstudents@echo.rutgers.edu.
As always, I am a resource for you, and I encourage you to reach out if you would like to chat about anything related to Rutgers. I hold student office hours on Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon. Complete the interest form and we will follow up with meeting details.
I’m excited to experience the spring semester with you, Scarlet Knights!
