Labyrinth Events Offer Community and Connection to Rutgers—New Brunswick Community

When Reverend Katrina Jenkins was hired as the assistant dean of faith and spirituality in Off-Campus Life and Community Initiatives (OCLCI) in the Dean of Students Office, she immediately brought a new focus to interfaith organizing across the Rutgers—New Brunswick community. Soon after her hiring, Jenkins also began promoting something less familiar to students, staff, and faculty: labyrinth activities and workshops.

A new book coauthored by two Rutgers psychologists offers actionable insights into how racism can affect Black clients. Read this interview of co-authors Jennifer Jones-Damis, the first Black director of Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program, and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) at Rutgers-New Brunswick, and Kelly Moore, the first Black director of the Rutgers Center for Psychological Services in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.

Student Basic Needs and New Brunswick Community Farmers Markets Team Up to Increase Access to Fresh Food

Spring is arriving early this winter, as the New Brunswick Community Farmers Market will be hosting a pop-up at the Busch Student Center International Student Lounge on Wednesday, February 26, from 11 A.M. - 3 P.M. The pop-up will feature fresh food and produce, goods from local vendors, and information about student-centered resources in the Division of Student Affairs.

ACCESS Connects with University Community to Offer Comprehensive ADHD Services to Students

While Rutgers—New Brunswick students can readily access a variety of health-related services on campus through Student Health, GSAPP CPS, and Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services (CAPS), some still fall through the cracks. That’s where Accessing Campus Connections and Empowering Student Success (ACCESS), an ADHD cognitive behavioral program new to Rutgers, comes in.
